I've spent a great deal of my life in the last three years committed to an ideal that I now find is without spiritual guidance or moral backbone. Having brought this to light, I was lectured and "strongly encouraged" to keep these things secret. This goes against everything I have learned and experienced and now weighs heavily on my heart. I KNOW my Lord WILL sustain me, but now as I walk through that valley, it seems so lonely and dark. The feeling of betrayal and loss is suffocating. The hardest thing is not being able to walk through this in community. If you're reading this, and believe, please pray for me.

I will add your struggle to my prayer list. I'm sorry you find yourself in a valley bro but that is where the grass grows greenest. Jesus' plan is to prosper us, hard to keep that in mind sometimes. Grow with it.
Sam
It is a comfort to know that this same Valley was walked already by Jesus Christ, keep on the trail He already blazed.
I didn't realize that you blogged, will be back to visit again!
Kevin my brother.
Icouldn't agree more with Sam and Connie's comments. There are times when I feel the same ache and know what you're going through. I try to let my disappointment with how things are, move my heart to the heart of God and to the heart of other 'safe people'.
Thanks for sharing your struggle, for as you know, there comes greater joy and freedom when we "walk in the light". I have some very encouraging news to share with you when we get together on Woody Island. And by the way, that's only 10 days away! Linda and I have been much in prayer together and with others, asking God to reveal Himself to the hurting and broken people who will be there. Some to be sure, will come not even aware that their lives can be profoundly changed for the better - and that of course is only because the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, has opened, moved in, and changed our hearts. See you soon my friend. PTL.
Kevin,
One more thing. Lydia O. would get a huge chuckle from your post name "Life In The Bay".....And by the way, this is my first visit to your blog. It's very cool...Alan
